Hunter's Mill neighborhood, Salisbury, Maryland
This was a small, organized event. There was a 5K run that consisted of three rather large loops around the neighborhood development on the sunny morning, in addition to kids races that were about a 1/2 mile and other family fun activities. Blue Light Special, a local band comprised of members of Salisbury University's faculty, performed in the afternoon.
Noah Wood was the first finisher in about 18:51. Salisbury University faculty, Brian Stiegler, finished second with a relatively strong performance from him somewhere between 25 and 26 minutes! Another gentleman finished third, and then his wife finished fourth. Actually, this woman set a valiant goal to compete in the Rock and Roll Marathon (or maybe it was the half-marathon) in California, and this event was put on to help raise funds for her. Last I heard, she and her husband ran it.
In addition, one young girl strongly ran one lap of the three-lap course, and many of the younger kids participated in the kids fun runs. It was a very-well organized event in the neighborhoods of Salisbury, Maryland.
